Broadway Bar is a two-story downtown Los Angeles spot where locals and visitors come to unwind with a well-crafted cocktail in a laid-back setting. Situated right on S Broadway, the bar offers a relaxed vibe that appeals to those looking for a chill evening with good drinks and a friendly crowd.

The interior features a circular bar on the main floor that encourages conversation, while a small front patio adds an outdoor option when the weather allows. It’s a good spot for both casual nights out and the start of a longer night crawl across downtown, noticeably attracting a crowd who appreciates attentive bartenders and quality mixed drinks. The bartenders, especially Tony and Oz, often get called out for their skill in preparing drinks that go beyond basic bar fare—expect classics like mojitos, old fashioneds, and caipirinhas that balance tradition with a touch of local flair.

Those who enjoy a music-driven evening will find Sunday nights notable for reggae, dancehall, and other world-inspired beats spinning on the decks, often without a cover charge. The small dance floor upstairs complements the music, with two DJs working different vibes—one focused on reggae roots and the other mixing in a broader range of sounds, from soca to afrobeats, cultivating a laid-back yet upbeat atmosphere. Early drink specials help keep things affordable, especially for locals who know the best times to drop in.

Broadway Bar fits well into the downtown nightlife scene for people wanting a blend of easygoing gathering spots that respect craft cocktails and music equally. Whether you’re meeting friends for a low-key drink or diving into the night with some dancing, it offers a neighborhood feel with touches that reward repeat visits.

I love this place. Coming back from Covid and going back to your favorite bar with new faces it's hard. But Broadway Bar is amazing. Their cosmos are amazing. The environment is amazing and chill. Always ask for Tony or Oz. They will hook it up!!!!

Excellent downtown bar with a relaxed vibe and small patio in the front. The drink selection is great and it’s two floors. It has a locals feel and circular bar is pretty cool.

No cover, drinks are good, good liquor . Small dance floor but they have two DJ's and they compliment each other. One plays only reggae and the other one plays a mix which I like.

I enjoyed this place. The music was great, but with the bar in the middle of the floor, it was hard to dance with the crowd of people. The drink was not good. Had two tequila sunrises made by two different people. Ordered the second one just to see if it would taste better. The recipe was off, the tequila was overpowering. The curry goat was not tender, but the rice and beans were really good. The security were friendly.

A favorite place of mine, unfortunately, will be shutting their doors at the end of December. Always has music gets you on your feet with traditional cocktails in a classic dtla vibe.
